We recently restored this beautiful alarm pocket watch for a customer. The customer's father served in the US Army during World War II.
He was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge. The watch was found on his remains two years after he gave his life for our country.
The Army returned the watch to our customer's mother after the war. As you can see in the "Before" photos, the watch had been exposed to the elements
and was in extremely bad shape. It was rusted and did not function.
The customer was doubtful that the parts could be found or the watch could be restored at all.
Our in-house master watchmaker and restoration specialist restored the watch to its former glory. Not only does it look amazing, it runs great as well.
Even the alarm is functioning properly. The customer is now displaying the watch proudly in his home and showing it off at World War II reunion gatherings.
Although not all the watches we restore come with such amazing histories, we are happy to restore any vintage or antique wrist or pocket watch to our high standards.
